- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 200 Veterans Avenue, Beckley, West Virginia has a requirement for WHEELCHAIR VAN SERVICES. Contractor shall furnish shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and qualified personnel necessary to provide Wheelchair Van Services, twenty-four (24) hours per day, three hundred sixty-five days per year to veteran beneficiaries, on an as-needed basis, and for patients with regular standing appointments at either the VAMC or private facilities in the community. Contract shall also require trips to VAMC Richmond, Virginia, VAMC Salem, Virginia, and VAMC Asheville, North Carolina. The following estimates are provided: 1) Any trip within 25 miles from the Beckley VAMC. Includes arrival and acceptance of patient at point of departure and delivery of patient to destination = 125 trips annually; 2) One-way trip from Beckley VAMC to VAMC Richmond, Virginia = 15 trips annually; 3) One-way trip from Beckley VAMC to VAMC Salem, Virginia = 15 trips annually; 4) One-way trip from Beckley VAMC to VAMC Asheville, North Carolina = 5 trips annually; 5) Mileage Charge beyond 25 miles (shall be loaded miles and one way only) = 4,500 miles annually. The applicable NAICS Code is 485991 with a size standard of $6 Million. Contract period will be one year from date of award. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET-ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS. It is the VA_s intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. Solicitation packages will be available January 18, 2006. Solicitation closes at 3:00 p.m. EST, February 17, 2006. This requirement is subject to the availability of FY06 funds.
