- This is modification 1 to the synopsis entitled Engineering Directorate Configuration Management NNJ06105755R which was posted on October 2, 2005. You are notified that the following changes are made: A: The buying team has changed the planned schedule and will now conduct one-on-one meetings for this procurement. To facilitate open communications with industry, Johnson Space Center (JSC) invites parties interested in the Engineering Directorate Configuration Management Contract to meet with selected members of the procurement team. The following topics may be discussed: 1. The general purpose of the announced procurement; 2. Any information about NASA and JSC that NASA has already made accessible to the public or is otherwise being made available to all potential offerors; 3. Historical information about the general nature or scope of prior contracts whose requirements will be addressed in whole or in part under a follow-on procurement; 4. Information that describes the federal procurement process as defined by the FAR, NASA FAR Supplement (NFS), or other published procurement policy documents; and 5. Procurement specific information already published such as information contained in the acquisition forecast, statement of work, and pre-solicitation synopses. Questions regarding the subjects below will not be discussed: 1. Proprietary or confidential business information of incumbent contractor(s) or other business entities; 2. Privacy Act protected information such as incumbent contractor employees? personal data; 3. Trade Secrets Act protected information; 4. Speculation on what the Government might be looking for in proposals; 5. Different technical and management approaches; 6. Technical Efficiencies; 7. Any particular Government Emphasis; and 8. Incumbent?s performance. Meetings may be scheduled from January 17, 2006, until the release of the Final Request for Proposal (RFP) and will last no longer than forty-five minutes. No appointments will be scheduled after the release of the formal RFP. An individual company or a group of businesses planning to team or subcontract may attend; however, any given team will be allowed only one meeting. Each team is limited to four individuals attending the meeting. Formal presentations by interested parties are not required. Recording devices are prohibited. Appointments will be scheduled on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. CST. To schedule, please contact Julie Karr, Contract Specialist, at julie.k.karr@nasa.gov Include a point of contact (POC), the POC?s phone number and e-mail address, the names of all persons planning to attend the meeting and their affiliated company. B. The anticipated release date of the draft RFP is January 2006. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
