Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Mechanical Systems Engineering Services (MSES II) which was posted on March 24, 2005. The Government intends to issue two separate Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) solicitations for mechanical systems engineering support. The solicitations will be identified as MSES II/A and MSES II/B. The Government posted the Draft RFP for MSES II/A on June 23, 2005. The Final MSES II/A RFP is scheduled for release in January 2006. This is a small business set-aside, the NAICS code is 541710, (Exception 1,000 employees). The Government also plans to synopsize its intention to release a Draft RFP Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) solicitation for MSES II/B. The Statement of Work (SOW) will include all aspects of mechanical systems, excluding materials laboratory testing. In addition, the SOW includes, but is not limited to, pre-formulation and formulation, mission and instrument systems engineering, optical and detector engineering, launch and post-launch operations engineering, cryogenics and fluids engineering, research and technology services for thermal control systems, optics and opto-mechanical systems, cryogenics and fluids, and coatings and film technologies. The synopsis is scheduled for release in January 2006 followed by the Draft RFP, which is scheduled for release in February 2006. This is a small business set-aside, the NAISC code is 541710 (Standard Size 500 employees). All documents related to MSES II/A, are attainable electronically over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
