- The Melvern Lake Project, Melvern, Kansas has a requirement for Vegetative Management Service. This procurement is a BEST VALUE, Request for Quote (RFQ) for Commercial Item/Services and is totally set-aside for small business concerns. Responsible o ffers will be evaluated on the basis of Best Value to the Government. In addition to using pricing as a determining factor, evaluation of the contractors related experience and past performance will be considered. The Contractor shall provide all manpow er, equipment, fuel, tools, supervision and other items and services necessary to provide Vegetative Management Service. Terms of the contract will consist of a one-year base period 01 April 2006 (or when awarded) through 30 September 2006 and two one-ye ar renewal options, which may be exercised at the discretion of the government. The government intends to issue this solicitation and any amendments through the Kansas City District website.
