Description

The Army Contracting Agency, ITEC4, intends to award a performance-based IDIQ contract, which will provide a library of Web-based commercial-off-the-shelf courses which will include Information Technology, Information Assurance, business, self-devel opment, on-demand foreign language courses, and Information Technology and business certification prepatory courses. This contract will also acquire the full range of services needed to provide, use, and manage the course library throughout the life of th is contract. Soldiers, and civilians who support them, at home and in the field, need the training courses in order to ensure readiness. This program will support the total population of the Army (Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, and civilians) of a pproximately 1.4 million people. The initial base of users will be approximately 250,000. The Army desires to enhance and improve the quality of its current course library and expand the range of course offerings available to students. Instructional prog rams and courses leading to certifications must be made available via a web-based course player application and a DVD/CD-ROM (or other applicable media for users with no Internet access). The total period of performance will be five years from the date of award. A sources sought synopsis for this action was posted on 27 May, 2005 as contract W91QUZ-05-R-0023. A draft RFP (DRFP) is expected to be release on or about 20 January 2006. A maximum of ten calendar days will be allowed for comments/questions to be considered in finalizing the RFP.
