Description
Pursuant to AMS policy 3.2.2.4, the FAA is notifying the public that it intends to award a contract to the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS). The requirement is for air show air and ground operations training safety course. The contract period of performance will consist of a base year with 2 one-year option periods. The estimated cost of the contract exceeds $100,000. After reviewing the Statement of Work below, interested parties who have the requisite capabilities to fulfill this requirement are invited to submit a letter of interest and capability statement describing the wherewithal to provide the subject course to Brenda.Elliott@faa.gov, no later than January 20, 2006, 3:00 p.m., Central Time. Statement Of Work Air Show Ground and Air Operations The Flight Standards Service (AFS) has requested that approximately 55 FAA operations and airworthiness inspectors per year attend the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) safety course. The course shall be conducted during the second or third quarter of each fiscal year. The exact date and location are yet to be determined and shall be negotiated with the FAA. The price quoted will include the total cost to conduct one class, including but not limited to, all books, materials, handouts, instructor travel, and facility costs, etc. The training course presented to the FAA is to contain all information and material that is presented to attendees at the ICAS annual convention. The training presented shall consist of air show air and ground operations issues including; site layout, regulatory concerns, event coordination, aircraft support, emergency planning, and air show briefings. ICAS shall ensure that all inspectors attending the course are instructed to complete the information requested on the a registration form. ICAS will return the completed registration form with their invoice for each class.
