Description

Solicitation SB1341-06-Q-0116 is hereby amended to address vendor questions/answers. Question: In the Statement of Work, Background, it says "All interior positive pressure exhaust ducts shall be leak tested." In the Scope of Work it says "inspect the condition of ductwork for leaks". In neither case there is not mention of a procedure or reference a standard to be applied for this work. Is the intent for a visual/audible inspection of the ductwork for leakage or is there a procedure and criteria for performing leakage testing of the ductwork that will be provided? Answer: At this time only a visual / audible inspection of the entire system including the positive duct will be necessary. A more in depth inspection of the systems will be done in another phase of this work at a later date. The Contractor however, (at his discretion) may introduce a small amount of smoke or a specific odor (such as peppermint) to the system to aid in this inspection. The current response date remains unchanged. All responses shall be submitted not later than 3:30pm, local time on January 20, 2006.
