Description

The Natural Resources Conservation Service has a requirement at McGrath, located on the Kuskokwim River, Alaska for the reshaping of approximately 1,100 feet of eroding riverbank. Work shall include, but is not limited to, the production of rip-rap, hauling, placement, shaping of embankment and reconstructing approximately 1,100 feet of levee damaged by erosion. All work will be performed in accordance to the project drawings and specifications which will be available at this site on or about January 27, 2006. The dollar magnitude is between $1 million to $5 million. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 237990. This acquisition is unrestricted. Small Disadvantaged, Veteran-Owned and Women-Owned businesses are highly encouraged to participate. Anticipated award date will be announced in the solicitation. This solicitation will only be available through the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Instructions for downloading the solicitation are available at this website. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. All questions must be submitted in writing by e-mail to john.ellis@ak.usda.gov. No questions will be accepted by telephone.
