- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). Reference quote number SP3100-06-Q-0004. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-06 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20051220. The size standard is 1,000 employees. NAICS is 334111. This acquisition includes is for Cisco Brand GBICs. A brand name item is needed because all the devices utilized for the wireless LAN configuration at DDAA, DDAG, and DDHU are Cisco. A proprietary Cisco GBIC is needed to make an uplink connection between the wireless LAN devices. In keeping with the standardization of Cisco Power over Ethernet (POE) devices for DDC wireless networks it is necessary to stay with Cisco as the sole manufacturer for this network hardware purchase. Therefore, the Cisco GBIC module is the only brand that meets the requirement of the Government. The acquisition includes CLIN 0001 for 87 each GLC-SX-MM; CLIN 0002 for 81 each GLC-LH-SM; CLIN 0003 for 40 each TUG-SCLC-2M; CLIN 0004 for 72 each TUG-SCLC-SM-2M; CLIN 0005 for 10 each TUG-SCLC-SM-1M; and CLIN 0006 for 50 each STLC-2M. Items should be delivered to Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, BLDG 203 Door 12 DDSP-UAS, 5450 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055-0789. The following clauses and provisions apply: Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial, Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders?Commercial Items (to include: 52.222-3 Convict Labor; 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35 Equal Opportunity for Special Disabled Veterans, Veterans of Vietnam Era, and Other Eligible Veterans); clause 52.232-33 Mandatory information for electronic funds payment; clause 52.232-36 Payment by Third Party. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items with the offer. If the offeror does not have a copy of this provision, it can be downloaded at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The following DFARs provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: Provision 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items; clause 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable To Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items to include: (252.225-7001 Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program; clause 252.225-7036, North American Free Trade Agreement Implement Act). Award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offer. This will be the only notice of award. No formal solicitation will issued.
