- SPAWAR SYSTEMS CENTER, SAN DIEGO intends to negotiate a sole-source contract modification with Compendium Technologies, LLC, San Diego, CA under their existing contract N66001-00-D-5078. This action will extend the period of performance through 31 March 2006. This action will be issued as a sole source modification under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation is available. Questions concerning this sole source modification may be directed to John A. McIvers at john.mcivers@navy.mil. The use of any other source for this modification would result in the duplication of cost and time to develop the technical capability within another contractor???s workforce resulting in substantial duplication of cost that is not expected to be recovered through competition. The original contract was awarded against Broad Agency Announcement N66001-99-X-6906. Future requirements are included in the competitive RFP N66001-06-R-0029, which is anticipated to be awarded in the second quarter of FY06. See numbered note 22.
