Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) FA8604-06-R-7461. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-24. This solicitation incorporates by reference the following clauses: FAR 52.204-7, 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, and DFARS 252.204-7004 Alternate A. NAICS Code 611420. This requirement is a small business set-aside IAW FAR 19.502-2(a). The Course Instructor must process the following: PHD, extensive experience in course instructions for each of the courses listed below and extensive experience using Java 2 Enterprise Edition Development, Java-XML Programming using JAVA, Java-Web Developing JAVA Web Server, Enterprise Java Beans and C++ Programming, 12 students each for all courses. Resume of instructor(s) are required, with a minimum of 6 years extensive experience. The companies should provide an outline of what each of the courses will entail. CLIN 0001 JAVA TRAINING PHASE II CLIN 0001AA J2EE ? Java 2 Enterprise Edition Development: (5-days of instructor-led training) Introduce programmers familiar with the fundamentals of Java 2 client application and applet development to the server side Java technologies and API?s available in the Java 2 Enterprise Edition DK. Implement J2EE technologies to produce a scable n-tier multi-user application. This course will build a ?picture? of the J2EE Architecture and teach students how to deploy J2EE components to an application Server. CLIN 0001AB JAVA-XML ? XML Programming Using JAVA: (3-days of instructor-led training) Java programmers will learn the basics of XML form and syntax. They will use Java to implement XML web applications, as well as learn how to use XML to pass data between distributed Java applications. Emphasis is placed on writing well-formed and valid XML, parsing techniques and converting Legacy data with XML. CLIN 0001AC JAVA ? Web ? Developing JAVA Web Server: (5-days of instructor-led training) To develop Web services and clients according to the Web Services Interoperability (WS-1) Organization?s WS-Basic profile using SOAP 1.1, WSDL 1.1 AND XML Schema 1.0. (WS-Basic also calls for UDDI, which has more to do with publishing than development.) An overview of the interoperable and Java-specific Web services architectures, also learn the standard APIs for SOAP messaging and WSDL-driven, component-based service development. J2EE 6 Feb 06 ? 10 Feb 06 0001AB JAVA-XML 27 Feb 06 - 1 Mar 06 0001AC JAVA-Web 13 Mar 06 ? 17 Mar 06 OPTION CLIN 0002 JAVA TRAINING PHASE III 0002 Enterprise Java Beans (4-days of instructor-led training) Explore the Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) Component Architecture for building multi-tier client/server applications. Java programmers will be able to write and deploy reusable, distributed components and take advantage of the services offered by the EJB. OPTION CLIN 0003 C++ PROGRAMMING PHASE IV 0003 C++ Programming (5-days of instructor-led training) Develop the ability to design and write programs in the C++ language, emphasizing object-oriented approaches to designing solutions. Course Schedule: CLIN 0002 EJB ? TBD CLIN 0003 C++ - TBD The training must take place off-site and within 25 miles of Wright-Patterson AFB. This training is to be private and not open to the public.
