Description
The VA is seeking businesses interested and capable of performing Wheelchair Transport services as detailed below. Please respond via e-mail ONLY. Your response should identify your company name, point of contact with contact information, capabilities statement and identify your business size, and if you are ( by the definition in the FAR) any of the following: Small Business, 8(a) disadvantaged, disadvantaged, woman-owned, veteran-owned, service disabled veteran-owned or HUB Zone certified. Also state if you currently have a Federal Supply Schedule Contract or a VA Contract. Only this minimal information is requested. A Request for Proposals shall be issued at a later date. The NAICS code for the procurement is 485991 and the small business size standard is 6.5 million. Contractor shall provide sufficient vehicles, drivers and attendants, when required, to transport wheelchair patients. Patients to be transported will generally be outpatients and will not require medical attention during the trip. Transportation may be to and from appointments at the Spokane VA Medical Center as well as to and/or from appointments at other health care facilities within the Spokane area. Transportation may also include to and from the Spokane airport which is within the Spokane area. On occasion travel may be out side the Spokane area and shall be reimbursed at the additional mileage rate beyond the initial twelve (12) miles. Drivers, attendants, and vehicles must meet the qualifications of standard industry practice. The vehicles and equipment with which the Contractor renders the above services must meet all State of Washington (or Equal) requirements for insurance, registration, and equipment.
