- The VA Medical Center, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428, Intends to procure sole source with Community Blood Center, 349 South Main Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402-2715 for Blood and blood components [red blood cells; autologous red cells; fresh frozen plasma; cryoprecipitate; leukopoor red; apheresed platelets leukopoor; apheresed platelets leukopoor irradiated; random donor platelets; HLA typing for matched products; HLA matched platelets; Therappeutic Apheresis (regular hours and after hours); Antigen typing of donor units; and Reference Lab case]. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) is 621991, applies to this procurement with the business size standard is 500 employees. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can satisfy this requirement must supply information about their capabilities, or submit quotation to the Contracting Officer no later than 3:30 p.m. EST, January 25, 2006. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government and can be sent via fax or e-mail. The fax number is (937) 262-5974. The award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
