Description

The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Illumina, Inc. for bead chips (Sentrix Human Ref-8 Expression Chips). Illumina is the only known source which can supply these bead chips. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 325414 and the size standard is 500 employees. This acquistion is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirement of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in repsonse to this synopsis. The determination by the government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the government.
