- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While is it understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. The following is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and supplemental information included in this notice. The quotation number is N00178-06-Q-1070 and is a request for quotation. This announcement constitutes the only quotation being issued. A written quotation will not be issued. Electronic proposals are encouraged at DLGR_NSWC_XDS11@navy.mil. Quotes may also be faxed to (540) 653-7088 or delivered to NSWCDD, Attn: Code XDS117, Bldg. 183, Rm. 102, 17320 Dahlgren Rd., Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. All offerors must be advised that they must be active in the Central Contractor Registration database at http://www.ccr.gov before award can be made. The Government intends to procure, on a small business set-aside basis, the following; A: The contractor shall Conduct High Impact Heavyweight Shock Testing of the two OJ-723B consoles B: The contractor shall Conduct Vibration Testing of the two OJ-723B consoles per associated documentation and specifications available upon request by DoD Small Business contractors who appear on the approved Shock Testing Facilities list identified in MIL-STD-901D. Contractors must be on the approved Shock Testing Facilities list identified in MIL-STD-901D in order to receive the associated documentation and specifications and to be considered for award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 513330 with a size standard of 5.0 Million Dollars. The contract shall be a firm fixed price order. Delivery shall be made to CDSA Dam Neck, 1922 Regulus Avenue, Virginia Beach, Virginia as required by the associated documentatio n and specifications. Delivery shall be made within 28 working days of arrival of Government furnished materials. FOB Destination Shall apply. Offer is due 18 January 2006 no later than 2 p.m. (local NSWCDD time) to: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, Dahlgren VA 22448-5100 CODE XDS117, with faxed copies acceptable. Anticipated award date by 31 January 2006.
