Description

C _ Architect/Engineering Services Sources Sought Notice Laura Silguero, Contracting Officer _ (414) 902-5417 Provide Professional Architectural Engineering services to Design to Renovate Surgical Suites, C&D Sections, 2nd Floor, Bldg. #200 at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Work includes Preliminary Study, Investigative services, consultation/meetings with staff to establish specific program requirements, preliminary drawings, working drawings, specifications, including cost estimates, and construction period services. Work will include but is not limited to, renovation of approximately 30,000 sq.ft. of space, removal and replacement of doors, flooring ceiling tiles, plumbing work, electrical work, signage, fire protection and HVAC work. Asbestos abatement is part of this project. A/E must include CIH involvement regarding items such as Asbestos and Lead in working drawings and specifications. Design shall include the extension of the work onto the existing first floor roof. Estimated construction cost is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business February 6, 2006. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Maintaining project schedules and project budgets; (4) Knowledge in design and construction requirements; and (5) Cost control effectiveness. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541330 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
