- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a delivery order on a sole-source basis under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-03-G-0003 with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the United States Navy Heavy-Lift Helicopter, CH-53E and MH-53E aircrafts. The anticipated work to be performed will require a baseline investigation on the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) to analyze the failure, maintenance, and repair data of the top five degraders in order to develop a range of options to improve reliability and supportabilty and reduce repair time and operations and support (O&S) costs for the remaining life of the H-53E. SAC is the only source with the knowledge, integration experience, expertise, and proprietary technical data required to successfully perform these tasks.
