- This is a notice of intent of the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA., to negotiate a sole source contract with Women and Babies Hospital, Lancaster, PA., to provide non-invasive and invasive mammography procedures performed and reported by board certified radiologists. Services will be provided to our Lancaster CBOC. The anticipated contract will include a base year and four option years. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and FAR parts 12 and 15. The authority cited and justification made is based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from this one source. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by January 20, 2006, 3:30pm Eastern Time. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. No solicitation will be made available and all information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Only written inquiries will be accepted. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
