Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITAITION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS ?AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-5. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has a requirement for a Density Gradient Base Station. LINE ITEM 0001: Gradient Station Base Unit (120V) ------- Quantity?1 EA_$____________ Specification/Descriptions This Gradient Station Base Unit is a dedicated instrument that performs density gradient separation. It must include a Gradient Master to create gradients and Piston Gradient Fractionator to collect the separate fractions with 0.01 mm resolution. Through the use of software controls, the unit must be capable of creating different gradients from a variety of solutes. Resolution of collected fractions must be HPLC-compatible. LINE ITEM 0002: Tube holder------Quantity?1 EA_$_________ Specification/Descriptions Tube holder must have long and short caps. Must accommodate tubes for SW28/SW32 rotor. Required for Gradient Master in layering gradients. LINE ITEM 0003: Fractinator tube holder---------- Quantity?1 EA__$____________ Specification/Descriptions The holder shall accommodate tubes for SW28/SW32 rotor required for collecting the separated gradient fractions. LINE ITEM 0004: 50 tubes ( 1 box)---------- Quantity?1 EA_$_______ Specification/Descriptions Tubes for gradient separation must fit in station?s rotor and be system compatible. LINE ITEM 0005: Shipping and Insurance---------Quantity?1 EA__$_______ DELIVERY SHALL BE FOB DESTINATION. FOB DESTINATION MEANS: The Contractor shall pack and mark the shipment in conformance with carrier requirements, deliver the shipment in good order and condition to the point of delivery specified in the purchase order, be responsible for loss of and/or damage to the goods occurring before receipt and acceptance of the shipment by the consignee at the delivery point specified in the purchase order; and pay all charges to the specified point of delivery. Award shall be made to the offeror whose quote offers the best value to the Government lowest price technically acceptable.
