- NAICS Code: 54149 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) is conducting a Sources Sought/Market Survey for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY, to determine if small disadvantaged Veteran-owned businesses (SDVOBs) possess the necessary technical capabilities to support the upgrade and construction of smart conference rooms. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNONCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNONCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNONCEMENT AND/OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. INFORMATION SHALL FOCUS ON THE CAPABILTIY TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES DEFINED BELOW. The requirements for interested SDVOB Vendors include the following: 1. The Vendor must have been in the AV integration business for at least three years. 2. The Vendor must show at least three AV integration projects completed successfully within the past three years. 3. The Vendor must provide references, if requested, for those projects: preferably from a design consultant, if there is one. If all three projects submitted as references by the vendor are design build projects (where the vendor is responsible for both the design and installation of the technology). 4. The Vendor is required to have installation and service facilities, not just a marketing office, within thirty miles of the project site near Washington DC. 5. The vendor is required to carry at least $1,000,000.00 per incident liability insurance 6. The Vendor is required to be an authorized dealer for all major components of a system design, and provide warranty service on them as well. Major system components usually include the display technology (plasma, projectors, RPTV), signal processing and distribution (Extron and Polycom to name a few), Power amplifiers and loudspeakers. They may two step minor components such as floor boxes, microphones, power conditioners, etc. Responses from SDVOBs should be e-mailed to voss.oliver@epa.gov no later than January 17, 2006.
