- Description
- Modify a vacant 28,490 square foot portion of the first and second floor of existing building. Correct all deficiences in the utilities and life-safety systems for the entire building. As a minimum, but not limited to: 1) repair deteriorated walls, flooring, ceiling, windowsills, doors, washrooms, ceramic tile, tiolet partitions, intall office walls; 2) repair electrical systems to current code standards including removing and installing main electrical distribution panel; 3) repair/replace heating and air conditioning including air handler units on roof; 4) repair/ replace plumbing system to current code; 5) install elevator and exterior ramp in complaince with current ADA standards; 6) install a fire sprinkler/alarm system; 7) rehabilitation of the main north and south entrances to the building. The building has special historical masonary construction and is one of the original barracks of Great Lake Naval Station dating back to 1901. The projecet has been selected to be set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned constuction companies. The expected cost range of this project is between $4M to $5M.
