Description
1. The purpose of the amendment is to change the Primary Point of Contact in the synopsis/solicitation, the mandatory shipping instructions, and for technical advisory from Dr. Faris Al-Salihi to: Shwan Halkurd , Project Manager , IRMO Office of Communications US Embassy , Baghdad, Iraq , Palace Annex - IRMO Communications - Room S200 Office: 703-343-8697 , DSN: 318-239-8697 , MCI Mobile: 914-360-2116 , Email: halkurdso@state.gov 2. Answer: Yes, NCMC security control access 26. Question: Does the bldg. have proper life support? Answer: Yes: Electric; water, and sewage 27. Question: Is there any time restriction for bldg. access? Answer: Yes, NCMC work Hours 9:00 - 14:00 PM Sunday thru Thursday any other work time has to be arranging by NCMC authority. 28. Question: Who is the POC for the remote sites and how will access to the remote sites be coordinated? Answer: With NCMC Authority 29. Question: When the Government inventories the project equipment, where will the equipment be secured? Answer: Bidder must provide security 30. Question: Who will my Technical Questions? Answer: Installers and integrators and NCMC IT staff 31. Question: When will the customer want to discuss the detailed requirements of the DB forms design and the web portal layout? Answer: AFTER & DURING System installation see Appendix General WEB development section for general details. 32. Question: There is no required a required Network Management System for Cisco, such as Cisco Works. Answer: All networks monitoring support is needed 33. Question: Is there a scheduled and authorized site survey, and if not, what do I need to do to arrange? Answer: If you have the need to do site survey IRMO/PCO will arrange site survey after obtaining NCMC approval). 34. Question: What is the expected implantation schedule versus the operational readiness schedule? And, what are the expectations for the system to be fully operational with all database designs versus the system having voice, video, and data capabilities? Answer: The Voice, Video and teleconference feature and internet access shall be operational no later than April 2006, the DB and Web interface design and other network functionality shall proceed thereafter 35. Question: We understand that the SOW states that the implementation schedule is 15 March 2006; our intent is to determine the level of network functionality within that time parameter? Answer: VOICE, VOIP, TELECONFERENCE, LAN and Internet access through out NCMC LAN HQ and Basra & IRBIL remote office . 36. Question: Will there by any other Network node or services or servers that will be integrated with the LAN Answer: Yes, other services and application may be integrated with the LAN 37. Question: What are the min video conferencing requirements? Answer: Dedicated video conference equipment at each floor and one at each site, in addition to selected PC station in the building (TBD) 38. Question: Please specify the functional requirements of the Cisco 7206 equipment so that can determine how to configure these units. Answer: The functional requirements for configuration will be determined after source selection and technical review. 39. Question: Please specify the intended interfaces of the VOIP telephone system. We see that the system should support the 7970G and 7936 Cisco units and the Tandberg 1000 MXP. What other interfaces are required? What is the function of the Cisco Analog Interface module to POTS? Is a VOIP gateway required? If so what are the interfaces? Answer: VOIP will be the choice of the NCMC, it should interface with the Call Manager. 40. Question: Please specify the required functions of the MCS-7835-H1-IPC1 conference connection unit so that we provide the proper configuration unit. Answer: Video and Voice Teleconferencing. Basic functions. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (21-DEC-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
