Description
The United States Property and Fiscal Officer for New York (USPFO-NY) is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for competition among 8(a) HUBZone, or Service Disabled, Veteran Owned (SDVOSB) Certified firms. The general scope of wor k calls for the renovation of Maintenance Hangar 101 located at the 105th Airlift Wing, Stewart Airport, Newburgh, NY. The facility provides maintenance to the C-5A Strategic Aircraft Airlift. The general summary of work includes, but is not limited to t he contractor to provide all materials, labor, supervision and means required to renovate and repair the hangar. Specialties include, but are not limited to: demolition, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire detection and suppression. The performance per iod is 365 calendar days. The cost of construction is estimated at between 5 and 10 million dollars. Performance and payments bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. At the present time, the solicitation is expected to be issued on an unrestricted basis, with price evaluation preference for HUBZone certified firms in compliance with the small business competitiveness demonstration program. In your response you MUST include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b ) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, projects titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers of owners, (c) past performance references with points of contact and telephone numbers, at lea st three references are requested, but more are desirable, (d) evidence of sufficient bonding capability. Responses are required by December 28, 2005. All of the above requested information must be submitted in sufficient detail for the contracting officer to make a decision on a set aside. Failure to do so may result in an unrestricted acquisition. A decision as to whether the procurement will be set aside or solicited on an unrestricted basis will be posted in the FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov).
