Description
COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR SOLID PROPELLANT ROCKET TRAINING COURSE This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. GENERAL INFORMATION Solicitation Number: FA4801-06-T-0113 Request for FOB Destination Quote: This solicitation and the incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-24. North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS):611430 Size Standard: $9,000,000 Services to be performed: FUNDAMENTALS OF SOLID PROPELLANT ROCKET TRAINING COURSE- Course that will provide an understanding of how a rocket motor functions. The course will encompass propellant compositions including double base and composite formulations and how each affect motor performance, ignition processes and methods, effects of nozzle and thrust relationships, and effects of time on performance degradation. The class will be applicable to rocket motor propellant formulations currently used at the Holloman High Speed Test Track including Zuni, HVAR, Terrier, Super Terrier, Pupfish and Roadrunner motors. The course will be taught at Holloman AFB, New Mexico.
