- Description
- The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to negotiate a sole source indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract issuing task orders to Microsoft Corporation, Microsoft Services, Public Sector Practice, 5335 Wisconsin Avenue, Washington, D.C. 20015 for Microsoft Consulting Services and Microsoft Premier Support . The required services will be for a period of five (5) years and provide systems architecture, detailed technical support, and development consulting services for USSOCOM. USSOCOM and the component commands local area networks (LANs) are 100% Microsoft Windows operating system environments. No other vendors have the unique access to, and familiarity and experience with, Microsoft products and source code, access to corporate resources, and awareness of critical operational problems/issues/alerts, which is critical to minimize and prevent information system downtime and failures that impact USSOCOM?s mission. The authority cited for this procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
