- Description
- The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to issue a sole source award to Coastal Environmental Systems, Inc., Seattle, WA, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is for WeatherPak 500 and 2000 System upgrades as specified in the Statement of Work. The upgrades consist of the WeatherPak 2000 Basic Unit, Ultrasonic Wind Monitor, Barometric Pressure Sensor, Temperature & Humidity Sensor, Display Monitor, Quick Release Connector, and Basic Unit Connector Modification. All items are manufactured by Coastal Envoronmental Systems, Inc. All items must meet form-fit-function and backward capability requirements to interface with existing shipboard components. This action is being conducted in accordance with FAR 12 and FAR 13.5. NAICS 334519 with business size of 500 employees applies. A five-year, firm fixed-price requirements type contract is anticipated. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. Any inquiries concerning this requirement are to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
