- NAICS Code: 541710 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with W.M. Keck Biomedical Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, University of Virginia Health System, P.O. Box 800734, Charlottesville, Virginia 22908-0734 to provide the expertise to accurately indentify subcoomassie level protein in a single gel punch. For the last serveral years Keck Biomedical Mass Spectrometry facility has been identifying subcoomasie level gel punches for EPA research. Continued use of Keck for this service will help EPA provide both consistency of our expanding database and quality assurance. Therefore, EPA believes that W.M. Keck Biomedical Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, University of Virginia Health System, is the only vendor qualified with the expertise capable of satisfying this requirement. The circumstance permitting "Other than Full and Open Competition" is FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" at this time. The anticipated period of performance is 12 months. All interested parties who believe they can provide the required services should fully explain their capabilities and qualifications in writing within 15 days from the date of this announcement and provide itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any source(s) exist, therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Submit response to the U.S. EPA, Attn: James E.
