- Description
- A Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) camera system to monitor aircraft and vehicle movements on taxiways and runways to assist in preventing runway incursions during periods of darkness. The system needs to be able to monitor 4 zones of the airfield; approach and departure ends of both runways to include the taxiways and ramps adjacent to taxiways A and B. One additional camera to slew to points of interest. TV monitors positioned in the tower so air traffic controllers can easily crosscheck screens. The cameras need to be able to zoom and slew. Video needs to be recorded so as to be included in any type of investigation or incident. Contractor will also be reponsible for shipment of system to Ramstein AB, Germany and for training in Germany of ITT contractors who are responsible for installation of the system. Addtionally, the system will require a 3 year extended warranty on all parts.
