Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) to relocate an exisiting observation tower and re-erect on a new foundation. Exisiting tower is approximately 120 feet tall and is located on property maintained by the South Carolina Forestry Commission. Portions of the tower are to be relocated approximately 70 miles to a site on Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge in Townsend, Georgia. Approximately 60 feet of the tower and the observation cab will be re-erected on a new foundation. Contractor shall provide all necessary electrical, water, gas, sanitation and compressed air for the performance of this work. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 237990. The size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The tentative RFQ issue date is on or about 12/15/05, with a 01/12/06 closing date. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued. The RFQ documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ Number 4018165Q016. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Note: Registration with the Fish and Wildlife Service for Electronic Commerce (EC) at the National Business Center (NBC) Web site will also be required. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) HTTP://WWW.CCR.GOV and complete the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov in order to be eligible for award. CCR registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number, which can be obtained free of charge from Dun and Bradstreet at (800) 333-0505.
