- Description
- DOC, NOAA’s Western Administrative Service Center (WASC) intends to acquire research efforts in support of the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Auke Bay Laboratory. This procurement will provide research coordination efforts for the North Pacific Anadromous Fish Commission (NPAFC). The necessary personnel, materials, and equipment, etc., shall be provided to maintain the historical collection of scales and acetate impressions; maintenance of scale inventory; serve as a representative/cooperator with NPAFC high seas tagging programs of Canada, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Russia, as well as participating in NPAFC research vessel cruises in the North Pacific Ocean and Bearing Sea. Firms/organizations conducting similar work for other INPFC-member nations are determined to have organization conflict of interest for this procurement and will not be considered eligible to complete under this solicitation. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The period of performance is for one (1) base year with four (4) one-year options. This procurement is a not a small business set-aside, but available to all firms capable of performing these services. All contractors doing business with the Government are now required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and may register at the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. Documents for the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on or about April 22, 2005, to download through the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION] and [REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR] feature which provides notification when the RFP becomes available for download and all postings associated with the solicitation, thereafter. Each potential offeror is responsible for checking this website to gain all the current information available.
