Description

PROJECT SUMMARY: This contract consists of re-roofing the entire Newhalem camptender, including the foyer and ranger office, with a standing seam, metal roof system (approximately 4,524 SF of roof). The building currently has aluminum metal roofing attached directly to the structural purlins (i.e. no sheathing). The contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing metal roofing materials and temporary tarps at approved disposal/recycling facilities. The Contractor shall install approved fall protection devices close to the ridge line, replace flashing and rubber boots on all roof protrusions, and install a standing seam metal roof system, with continuous ridge vent, per the manufacturer's specifications. Contractor shall provide and install new counter flashing on all skylights to insure a weather-tight installation. Steel roofing materials associated with the project shall comply with EPA minimum recycled content requirements (see http://www.epa.gov/cpg/products/roof.htm for details). The Contractor shall be licensed by the state of Washington. LOCATION: The building is located in Newhalem campground, Newhalem, Washington, at approximately milepost 121 on State Route 20. This location is approximately 60 miles east of Interstate 5, Sedro-Woolley interchange. SOLICITATION DETAILS: This is a best value procurement subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and open to businesses of all sizes. The NAICS code for this project is 238160 and the small business size standard is $12.0 million. Contract duration is 30 days following issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000.
