Description
The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) and the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to procure the services of Dr. Robert Quinn, University of Michigan as a subject matter expert in strategic planni ng and organizational leadership and understanding the organizational culture and using the competing values theory. Dr. Quinns service will be procured through his agent W. Colston Leigh, Inc., Somerville, NJ. Dr. Quinn is considered the foremost exper t on strategic planning an organizational leadership and culture and is being contracted with to provide two one-day seminars. The first seminar will assist and facilitate the USAMRMC senior headquarters leadership in diagnosing and changing the culture a nd the performance of the command by using the tools of competing values theory and to do this through the application of the newest concepts from the field of positive organizational scholarship. The second seminar will be a follow-on to assist/facilitat e the USAMRMC Command group to diagnose and reorient the organizational culture and fundamental state of the key leadership to transform the command for future mission support of military medical research and medical materiel to the Army and the world. All of these will be applied during the two days. Mr. Quinn is being utilized because he has a broad understanding of organizations and has developed original concepts on the use and benefits of innovation and change in the workplace. Mr. Quinn has worked on programs involving a wide range of clients, including Government, Military and Private industry, he has insight into the dynamics of change and the introduction of new concepts, and understanding of obstacles, and techniques needed to overcome them, and h as previous experience with EAMC in adopting changes.
