Description

The World Wide Satellite System (WWSS), hereafter referred to as Team WWSS, is a joint partnership of Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (PM DCATS) and Project Manager Warfighter Information Network - Tactical (PM W IN-T). Team WWSS is an integrated effort to acquire satellite terminals and associated support services. This program will acquire six terminal types from a minimum of four and a maximum of six Prime Contractors, to include all necessary hardware, softwa re, services and data to operate and sustain these systems in the future. The satellite terminal configurations are divided into the following general types: Type 1 - Combat Support Service (CSS) VSAT Satellite Terminal; Type 2 - Fixed Station Satellite Terminal; Type 3 - Flyaway VSAT Satellite Terminal; Type 4 - Military Certified Satellite Terminal; Type 5 - Prime Mover/Trailer Mounted Satellite Terminal; Type 6 - Deployable Satellite Earth Terminal. Applicable Numbered Notes: 12. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer.
