Description

PROVIDE ALL LABOR AND MATERIAL TO TEST AND REPAIR FLIR DISPLAY UNIT, NSN: 7025-01-309-4130, IN ACCORDANCE WITH OEM SPECIFICATION 1002151. REPAIRED UNITS SHALL BE TESTED IAW TABLE 1, ACCEPTABLE TEST REQUIREMENTS, IN DWG 1002151, SHT 12, EXCEPT THAT NO ESS AND VIBRATION TESTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE PERFORMED. TURN-AROUND TIME SHALL BE TWO (2) WEEKS, BUT SHORTER TIME IS ENCOURAGED. This requirements contract will be for the test and repair of 25 FLIR display units in the base year and an additional 25 uni ts in each of the four (4) option years. These assemblies are for the Avenger program. The combination of experience, equipment, techniques and judgment needed to repair these items to Original Equipment Manufacturer standards inherently resides only wit h an original equipment manufacturer certified vendors. Because these assemblies are critically important to the success of the Avenger mission, and the life threatening significance of an improperly performed repair, only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vendors in good standing with the government should be permitted to test and repair these units. Any source who expresses and interest will receive due consideration under the law. The solicitation will be released on or about 19 December 2005. See numbered NOTES 22 and 26.
