Description
Sources Sought: The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA/VA), James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital located in Tampa, FL, is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES capable and interested in providing Institutional (Hospital) Construction Services, at the Department of Veterans' Affairs, VA Brevard County Outpatient Clinic located at 2900 Veterans Way, Viera, FL. Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all parts, tools, labor, equipment, supplies, travel, expertise, supervision, etc., to provide general construction for eight (8) new offices, two (2) new entrance and exit doors, working corridors, waiting area with windows, new mechanical system with air handlers and power feeds, fire suppression system, and associated construction work (demolition, testing, etc.). The anticipated performance period is approximately 150 calendar days after issuance of the Notice To Proceed (NTP). Any resulting procurement would be conducted under authority listed in FAR Part 15 and 36. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220 and the size standard is $28.5 million dollars. Responses to this announcement shall determine if sufficient competition exists in the small business community in order to set this procurement aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. The anticipated release date of the solicitation package is 22 December 2005. All qualified and interested parties are encouraged to participate. Please provide notice of your interest in this requirement by responding to this notice no later than 2:30 p.m. 16 December 2005, EST. Please indicate business size, statement concerning construction experience in the State of Florida, Bonding limits (single & aggregate), and other pertinent information about your business and specific experience in the requirement listed. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL/QUOTATION, NOR AN INVITATION FOR BID; THE DVA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND; THE DVA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SOLICIT THIS REQUIREMENT AS APPROPRIATE.
