- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single or multiple award(s) for the provision of various medical services for the Federal Correctional Institution Bastrop, located in Bastrop, Texas. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract(s) with firm-fixed unit prices. Award(s) will be made to the responsible quoter(s) who submits the most advantageous quote(s) to the Government. The various medical services are as follows: Dermatologist, Ophthalmologist, Optometrist, Oral Surgeon and Psychiatrist. The contract(s) shall consist of a 12 month base period and the possibility of four 12 month option periods. The estimated number of sessions (quantities), a session equals one hour, for the base year and four possible option years for each of the medical services are as follows: Dermatologist - 48 sessions, Ophthalmologist - 48 sessions, Optometrist - 208 sessions, Oral Surgeon - 20 sessions, Psychiatrist - 104 sessions. The solicitation will be available on or about December 20, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about January 12, 2006. The solicitation is set-aside for small business. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 621111 (Office of Physicians), 621112 (Office of Physicians - Mental Health), 621320 (Office of Optometrist) and the applicable small business size standard is $8.5 million (621111 & 621112) and $6.0 million (621320).
