- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to award a sole source, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract for the period of one base year with four one year option periods to E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company - Dupont Qualicon, 3531 Silverside Road, Bedford Building, Wilmington, DE 19810. The requirement is for the following BAX System reagent kits. Part number 17710608, BAX System PCR Assay for Screening Salmonella (96 tests); part number 17710609 BAX System PCR Assay for Screening L. monocytogenes (96 tests); and part number 17720673 BAX System PCR Assay for Screening E. coli O157:H7 (96 tests). The BAX System reagent kits are proprietary to Dupont Qualicon. The BAX System reagent kits are required to perform testing with the existing BAX Systems at FSIS. The BAX System reagent kits will be ordered as needed, twenty kits at a time. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commerical Items. Award will be made using the price analysis techniques specified in FAR Part 15.404-1(b). No solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested concerns may submit a capability statement within 15 days after the publication date of this notice. All timely responses will be considered, however, a determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses should be addressed to the attention of the Contracting Officer referencing number FSIS-08-B-06.
