Description

The Global Development Alliance (GDA), a recent initiative of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has had considerable initial success in developing alliances between USAID and a large number of private businesses, foundations, NGOs and other groups. Increasingly, USAID field offices are seeking to meet their development objectives and deepen the impact of their activities by operating through public-private alliances.The GDA is seeking candidates for a Personal Service Contractor (PSC) to serve as a Regional Alliance Builder housed at USAID?s Regional Development Mission/Asia (RDM/A) to support USAID missions in South and Southeast Asia and USAID regional, bilateral and non-presence programs. As outlined below, the Regional Alliance Builder will spend a significant amount of time working on Avian Influenza to promote public/private collaboration in dealing with this major issue. Extensive travel in this region will be required. Training will be provided in Washington, D.C. prior to departure. Further information about GDA can be found on our website at: www.usaid.gov/gda.
