- The U. S. EPA, Office of Research and Development (ORD), intends to negotiate on a noncompetitive basis with the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) to establish a committee on risk analysis issues and review. Under the proposed procurement, the National Academy of Science will establish this committee to plan and conduct a series of public workshops that will serve as a venue for discussion of issues critical to the development and review of objective, realistic, and scientifically-based human health risk analyses for selected environmental contaminants. This committee shall have expertise in human health risk assessment; human toxicology; pharmacokinetics; pharmacokinetic modeling; computational toxicology; epidemiology; exposure assessment; biostatistics, occupational health; and public health. The period of performance anticipated for this contract is 36 months. This notice is not a Request for Proposal. Sources wishing to be considered must submit documentation that demonstrate its qualifications within 15 days after posting of this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a noncompetitive basis. A determination not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. You may submit your information to Lynne W.
