- Description
- Accomplish the FY06/07 Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) of the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) 29, 31, 32, 33, 48, & 56. For FY06: LCAC 29, 32, and 33. For FY07: 31, 48, and 56. The LCACs accomplished in FY07 will be options. This is an unrestricted procurement. Contact the contract specialist for inspection dates/location, contract dates, and place of performance. The LCAC SLEP scope of effort includes repair and upgrade of the buoyancy box (structural hull), gas turbine engine replacement, installation of a new skirt (inflatable hull), installation of an integrated Command, Control, Communication, Computer and Navigation (C4N) equipment package, and accomplishment of selected craft alterations and repair work. The gas turbine engines and C4N equipment will be furnished by the Government. The SLEP effort is to be performed in accordance with Government prepared specifications, drawings, work item descriptions, and craft alteration records. See Notes! 9 and 26.
