Description

Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), 1401 Pacific Avenue, 2nd Floor, Dallas, TX 75201, for renewal of 2500 Dart passes (stickers), to provide VA employees with free access to the DART RAIL mass transit rail system for transportation to and from work, in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. The passes/stickers will be valid from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006, calendar year. This procurement will be processed under simplified acquisition procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is December 9, 2005, subject to the availability of FY 2006 funding. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor for solicitation of offers. No telephone requests will be accepted and no written documents will be available. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
