Description

The purpose of this RFI is to determine the industry offerings to meet the needs of duplicating facilities that are running between 600,000 to 1,000,000 impressions per month on a single shift. A single shift is defined as 8 hours per day 21 days per month for a total average month of 168 hours less 13 hours for mandatory employee training, equipment downtime, and customer production holds etc . . . leaving a total production month of 155 hours. Single devices that operate at 100CPM or greater and tandem devices will be considered. Machines that can not produce 1 million per month will have overtime hours factored into the comparison. Additionally, the vendor should factor in a throughput factor expressed in a percent that results in a speed less than the stated engine speed. Historically, DAPS has tracked the throughput at approximately 90% for the type of work produced. This throughput is similar to what industry reports. As an example if the device offered runs 130CPM, the throughput would be calculated by 130CPM X 60 Minutes X 155 Productive Hours X .9 = 1,088,100.
