- ISSUE DATE: 12/16/05. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for Maintenance Dredging of Entrance Channel at U.S. Coast Guard Station Eatons Neck, Northport, NY (Suffolk County). The work includes a pre-dredge hydrographic survey, dredging approximately 6,500 cubic years of sand, gravel and cobble for the boat channel, mechanical disposal of the dredged material on a nearby shoreline, a post-dredge hydrographic survey, and incidental related work. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable permits. The dredging shall occur between 01 March 2006 and 15 March 2006 due to permit limitations. PLEASE NOTE THAT HYDRAULIC DREDGING AND DISPOSAL WILL NOT BE ALLOWED FOR THIS PROJECT. This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal. Interested offerors will be required to submit technical documentation as well as price information. Evaluation will be conducted in accordance with the applicable evaluation factors listed in the solicitation. Award will be made to the lowest price, technically acceptable offeror. Specialized marine/dredging experience is required to perform this work and the offerors will be required to submit documentation regarding their marine experience. The estimated cost range of this project is $250,000 to $500,000. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 12/16/05. The due date for proposals is scheduled for 01/18/06 at 2:00 pm. This solicitation is full and open competition and is not set aside. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 and the size standard is $17.0 million.
