- INTRODUCTION: The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) have established a Memorandum of Agreement to seek areas where DARPA technology developments could enhance NGA missions. After generating inputs from a senior study group and internal technical experts, we are now seeking new concepts from industry. AGENDA: DARPA, in partnership with the NGA, will host an Industry Workshop on Wednesday, 7 September 2005. The focus of the Industry Workshop is to promote discussion of the DARPA NGA partnership. The session will address NGA Focus Areas representing “hard problems” which will be jointly pursued under the partnership and a request for new concepts and ideas, in the form of white papers, responding to the challenges presented. Interested parties to this notice are cautioned that nothing herein obligates DARPA, NGA or the Government to issue a future solicitation on this topic. LOCATION: The DARPA NGA Partnership Workshop will be held at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, 4301 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, Virginia. ATTENDEE INFORMATION: Registration is required by 26 August 2005. Attendance will be limited to the first 200 registrants. Each organization may send up to two representatives. Additional organization attendees will be considered by DARPA at DARPA's sole discretion, if space allows additional organization representation, and if DARPA determines that such additional representation is in the best interest of DARPA. However, DARPA reserves the right to limit organization participation to two individuals each, even if less than 200 total participants register for this Industry Workshop. DARPA will not provide cost reimbursement for attendance. The Industry Workshop will be unclassified and open to all U.S. citizens. Attendance is not required to propose to any solicitation on this topic. This workshop will begin at 8:00 a.m. EST and will end at 12:00 p.m. (noon) EST.
