- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION NOTICE. The Defense Logistics Agency will host a Privatization Industry Day to discuss disestablishing the wholesale supply, storage, and distribution functions for all packaged petroleum, oils, lubricants, compressed gases, and cylinders. This Industry Day will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2005, 9:00 a.m. EST, at Defense Supply Center Richmond, DRMO Auction Room, in Richmond, VA. The Industry Day will broadly address the privatization efforts for the following worldwide support functions: 1) forecasting, 2) inventory management, 3) procurement of supplies, 4) storage and warehousing, and 5) distribution (including disposal). The Federal Supply Classes (FSCs) include: 6830, 8120 and 9150. This Industry Day is for informational purposes only. DLA is interested in receiving industry comments and recommendations regarding regions, contract terms, industry capabilities and constraints. Open dialogue is welcomed at the Industry Day and written comments will also be accepted.
