Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation and is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Point of Contact is Linda Mannion; Linda.A.Mannion@uscg.mil or you may call (410) 762-6475. The Solicitation Number is HSCG40-06-Q-40267 and is issued as a Request For Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05. The applicable North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 331492 and the business size standard is 750 employees. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Jan 2005) and the following addenda: General Instructions: It is intended to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for the items and quantities listed below. Delivery shall be made F.o.b. Destination to U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Receiving Room, Building #88, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21226. Submission of Offers: Quotations may be submitted on company letterhead stationary and must include the following information: Request For Quotation Number, Payment Terms, discount offered for prompt payment, proposed delivery in calendar days, unit pricing and extended pricing. Price and delivery information shall be provided for the following: ITEM 0001, LEAD BALLAST, Triangular shaped lead weight to be between 19 to 25 lbs. each. Triangular size to be 2.75" x 3" x 3" x 14" long so pieces will be able to interlock with a minimum of unused space. Quantity is to be 28,000 total pounds. REQUIRED QUANTITY: 3 each (84,000 lbs.) OFFEROR SHALL PROVIDE UNIT PRICING PER POUND. Pricing shall be quoted F.o.b. Destination. Required Delivery Schedule: One (1) each ballast within thirty (30) calendar days after award; One (1) each ballast within sixty (60) calendar days after award; One (1) each ballast within ninety (90) calendar days after award. Offers shall also include the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number, and must include the required FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial items (Mar 2005). Copies may be obtained by calling the Agency. Evaluation of Offers: FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation?Commercial Items (Jan 1999) and the following Addenda: This requirement is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The Government will evaluate all offers to be qualified for award as follows: The Government will review each proposal submitted in response to this solicitation and make award to that offeror, whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, represents the lowest price to the Government. The Offeror?s proposed delivery schedule shall be considered in determining conformance to the solicitation requirements. Price evaluation will be performed by the Contracting Officer to determine the reasonableness of each proposed price and to determine the Offerors understanding of the work and ability to perform the contract. The evaluated price will be obtained by multiplying the quantity times the unit price to arrive at a total evaluated price. The Government reserves the right to make an award without discussions.
