- AFRL/PR-W will be soliciting offers on the subject solicitation. The contractor will provide on-site Advanced Research and Engineering Support and as well as development for rocket and missile propulsion focusing research in the Liquid, Solid, Emerging and Pervasive, Spacecraft Propulsion, Systems Integration, A&AS Acquisition Management Support, Contract Management and Analysis technology disciplines. This procurement is proposed to be a small business set-aside. Anticipated period of performance is a basic three-year contract with two options (first option for 2 years and the second option for 2 years). North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) is 541710 and 1,000 employees. Responses shall indicate size of firm under NAICS. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal will approximately be issued the week of 9 Dec 05 and the anticipated closing date will be 10 Feb 06. Please be informed that an Industry Day Slides were placed in the FedBizOps on 20 Oct 05. It included important information (slides) that was presented at Edwards AFB during the 12 Oct 05 Industry Day briefing. During the briefing, the government presented to the attendees the nature and magnitude of this procurement. Be advised that changes were made to the following slides: 1. Slide No. 29 (reduced the option years from 10 years to 7 years and reduced the estimated total program value from $94M to $49M). 2. Slide No. 30 (changed the NAICS Code from “541710—Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences” to “541710—Research and Development Space Vehicles and Guided Missiles, their Propulsion Units, their Propulsion Units Parts, and their Auxiliary Equipment and parts”. 3. Slide No. 32 (eliminated CLIN 0005 A & AS Subcontracts (Fee Bearing).
