- 28---CASE DIFFUSER, AIRCRAFT? SOLICITATION NUMBER FA8104-06-R-0078, OC-ALC/LPKPB TINKER AFB OK 73145-3020. ITEM 0001 NSN: 2840-01-505-3272NZ; P/N: 4087035-01. ITEM DESCRIPTION: CASE DIFFUSER, AIRCRAFT. APPLICABLE TO: F100/229 ENGINE. QUANTITY RANGE: 2, 3, 5 EACH. 13.946 X 28.350 DIA. THIS ITEM IS USED TO CONTAIN THE MIXING OF COMPRESSED AIR AND FUEL WHICH IS IGNITED USED AS THRUST. TITANIUM. DESTINATION: TINKER AFB, OK. DELIVERY: JUNE 2007. First Article Test Required. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 13 Dec 2005. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 12 Jan 2006. The solicitation will be available for download on the release date from www.fedbizops.gov. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offers or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
