- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award, to a responsible quoter for the provision of a Radiologist to provide radiological reading and interpretation services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), 3625 FCI Road, Marianna, Florida 32446. The successful contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to: radiological reading and interpretation services, all supplies and equipment required at the off-site location, pickup and delivery of x-ray films, and providing type-written reports within five working days. It is estimated that the contractor will perform 1,962 radiology interpretations per year. The most common exams that the contractor will provide radiology reading and interpretation services for is as follows: skull, facial bones, sinuses, cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, sacrum and coccyx, shoulder, humerus, forearm, fingers, hand, wrist, chest, ribs, abdomen, hip, femur, lower leg, knee, ankle, foot, calcaneus, toes, kub. The contractor shall be a licensed radiologist from any one state within the United States. The work is expected to start on or about February 1, 2006. The small business size standard for this requirement is $8.5 million and the NAICS is 621111. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government. The solicitation will be made available on or about December 8, 2005, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about January 4, 2006. All responsible small businesses must submit a quote to be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
