- Description
- The Social Security Administration has a requirement for a hotel that can provide the necessary services for a conference to be held in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX metroplex on January 23-26, 2006. Sleeping rooms are not a part of this acquisition, as attendees are responsible for making their own reservations and paying for sleeping rooms. However, the facility must be able to provide 170 sleeping rooms for the three nights of the conference. The facility must be able to provide meeting room space large enough to accommodate 75-100 guests for reception/registration. Main meeting space shall accommodate 180 individuals set up in round table size which shall also be used for lunches on 2 days. Five breakout rooms will accommodate 35 people and arranged in classroom style. The facility must also provide full catering services for morning and afternoon breaks, two mandatory lunches, and a reception on the first evening. Audiovisual equipment will be require which includes podium, microphones, LCD projector, screens, flip charts and markers, DVD player, and projection cart. The facility must be in compliance with the basic safety and ADA requirements recorded in the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS, sections 4-9) and the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG). Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Information regarding this registration can be found at http://www.ccr.gov. Offerors will be required to complete either a papr copy of the Representations and Certifications or may complete them online at http://orca.bpn.gov in responding to this requirement. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items. This acquisition is non set-aside. The North American Industry Code (NAIC) is 721110. The solicitation # SSA-RFQ-06-06-0001 will be available for downloading on or about November 22, 2005.
